Erin Soto is a former senior U.S. government executive who brings over 30 years of international leadership experience as well as academic expertise in leadership development to her coaching practice.  As a member of the Senior Foreign Service, she led multi-cultural teams in six countries throughout West Africa, Latin America, and Asia where she was responsible for leading the U.S. foreign assistance strategy.  Over the course of her career with the U.S. government she has been recognized repeatedly for her leadership prowess.



Most recently, Ms. Soto served an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science in the Strategic Leadership Department at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., where she taught Strategic Leadership to senior leaders from across the government, industry and foreign militaries.  She is expert in leadership development, change management, and peak performance and her interests lie in helping highly skilled executives achieve their full potential. 

A native of Indiana, Ms. Soto received her undergraduate degree in education from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s degree in public administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  Ms. Soto is certified in interpreting a number of personality and leadership assessments, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, FIRO-B, CPI 260, and the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI).  She is also certified in the Executive Assessment and Development Program (EADP) and Personality Profiler, Leadership Profile Inventory, Modified Career Path Appreciation (MCPA), and Strategic Leadership Development Inventory, (SLDI). She will complete her International Coaching Federation certification in June 2013 as well as earning a coaching certificate through the College of Executive Coaching in Santa Barbara, California. She is fluent in French and Spanish.
